Our DC Comp

is an adaptation from the famous Ross compressor. Our DC Comp V3 has significant changes from the original ROSS circuit and sounds much, much better. After several prototypes were released and evaluated, it was clear that a clean-blend was also needed. After a few design changes and hours of listening and tuning the DC Comp has matured to a unique offering available only from DC Pedals. The clarity of your tone is preserved even during the long trailing sustain. It won’t boost the bass, it won’t cut the highs and it preserves the ‘sweetness’ of your tone.

Our Clean Boost

The DC Pedals DC Boost is simple one transistor clean boost pedal. It is based on a 1960’s circuit used in the old-school recording studio consoles. It is simple, yet effective. Of course I spent some time tweaking the circuit and component values to get that perfect blend of clarity and boost. It is not too brittle, not too dark … just right.

Version 3 of our DC Comp is simply outstanding. We significantly changed the input circuit, output circuit and tweaked the clean blend all while preserving the CA3080 heart of the pedal. Now, our DC Comp is much cleaner and the clean blend has a more transparent tone. We are thoroughly impressed with the results.

Our Clean Boost is exactly that … it boosts your volume with minimal change to tone.  We tuned the input impedance to be just right.  Not too bright, and not too dark.
